How do I login to the Search Console?
By GEO Search Console Published
You login to the Search Console with an ordinary Google account: a Gmail address or a Google Workspace address both work, and there is no separate Search Console password.
The account you use matters more than the login itself, because Search Console only shows the sites that account can see. This page is part of our Google Search Console FAQ.
Which account to use for the Search Console login
For the Search Console login, use the Google account that verified the site, or the one the site's owner added as a user.
Search Console ties access to accounts, not to the site, so two people at the same company see different lists if they log in with different addresses.
If a colleague set the site up, ask them which address they used. If they can't log in either, an owner can add your address in Settings, then Users and permissions: our page on how to share Search Console access has the steps.
When you log in and your site is missing
If you login to the Search Console and your site is missing, you are almost always signed in with the wrong Google account.
Check the profile picture at the top right, switch accounts there, and the site should appear.
If no account you own has access, someone has to add you or you have to verify the site again. Google's help page on owners, users and permissions explains how a new owner regains access when the old one has left.
Keeping the login safe
Keeping the Search Console login safe means keeping your Google account safe: turn on 2-Step Verification and never share the password.
To give someone else access, add their own address as a user instead. That way you can remove them later without changing anything on your own account.
