Is there a Search Console app?

By GEO Search Console Published

There is no official Search Console app for phones. Google's Search Console is a website, and it works in a phone's browser at the same address as on a computer.

Most site owners don't need an app, because Google emails the alerts that matter. This page is part of our Google Search Console FAQ.

Using the Search Console website as an app on a phone

Open search.google.com/search-console in your phone's browser and sign in with the same Google account you use on a computer.

The reports adjust to the screen, and you can switch sites from the property menu.

To open it like an app, add the page to your home screen from the browser's menu. It then opens with one tap, the way an app would.

Search Console alerts instead of an app

Search Console sends its important messages by email, so you don't need an app open to hear about problems.

Google emails owners and users about new indexing issues, manual actions, security issues and other changes to the site.

Make sure the right people get them: everyone who should hear about problems needs to be a user on the property. Our page on how to share Search Console access has the steps.

Third-party Search Console apps

The Search Console apps in the app stores are made by other companies.

They read your data through the Search Console API after you sign in with Google and grant them access.

Before you connect one, check who makes it and what access it asks for, and remove it from your Google account's connected apps when you stop using it. The same API lets you keep your own copy of the data: our Search Console data warehouse runs on your hosting, so the data never leaves your server.
